In shortEdgbaston is a green, leafy area just south west of the centre. It has big parks and gardens, so it is good for a slower, daytime date. Cannon Hill Park and the MAC are close by too.

Birmingham Botanical Gardens
The gardens on Westbourne Road have four Victorian glasshouses with over 7,000 plants, plus a Japanese Garden with the National Bonsai Collection and a tearoom. Entry is paid, and opening times change with the season, so check before you go.
