A wet day does not have to cancel a date. Birmingham has some good indoor plans that give you something to do and something to talk about. Here are three to keep in your back pocket.
The Botanical Gardens glasshouses
Four Victorian glasshouses hold over 7,000 plants, so you can stay warm and dry while you wander. There is a tearoom for afterwards, and entry is paid.

A tour of the Jewellery Quarter museum
Guided tours of the old Smith & Pepper workshop take about 45 minutes and run through the day from Thursday to Saturday. There is no tearoom, so plan lunch nearby.

An indie film in Digbeth
Mockingbird Cinema inside the Custard Factory shows cult classics and independent films at fair prices. Digbeth has lots of places to eat close by, so dinner and a film is easy.
